Issue/Rationale

Issue Rationale for bids to be awarded as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.012 and School Board Policy

a.  Covered Walkways County-Wide Bid #16-F-220 - Bid established for the purchase, delivery and/or installation of Covered Walkways as needed for various schools and departments county-wide. Twenty-nine (29) bids solicited plus listed on our web site for down load. Two (2) bids received and One (1) no bid. The vendor awarded is the lowest, most responsive qualified bidder meeting specifications.  Contract Period is December 18, 2015 through December 20, 2018.

b. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System RFP #15-MI-85 - In alignment with the District's Strategic Plan Goals 1 and 2, the district has negotiated a contract with SunGard Public Sector, Inc. for a new Enterprise Resource System (ERP). The attached contract provides pricing and general terms for a new ERP system to replace our current system (TERMS) which is 20 plus years old. (The attached "draft" Agreement is a copy of the final signed version that will be forthcoming.)



Recommended Action

Award bids as follows:

a.  Covered Walkways County-Wide Bid #16-F-220 Recommend award to:

  • F&G Construction General Contractors, Inc., 2734 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, FL  32254

b.  Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System RFP #15-MI-85:

  • SunGard K-12 Education, 3 West Broad Street, Suite 1, Bethlehem, PA 18018


Financial Impact

a.  Covered Walkways County-Wide Bid #16-F-220:  Estimated $250,000.00 a year

b.  Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System RFP #15-MI-85: Estimated Five Year Cost of $2.3 million as outlined in Exhibit A of the order form.  Funded by Capital Funds
